"All the world's a stage,
And all the men and women merely players;
They have their exits and their entrances;
And one man in his time plays many parts."
(As You Like It, act 2, scene 7)

Perhaps one of the most striking lines in Shakespeare’s sociological statement is the last; …And one man in his time plays many parts. Sociology is often used to measure generations of people.  However, my own life is an individual journey; progressing from one stage to the next.  In this journey, I play many different parts; new responsibilities are given to me.  But as in Shakespeare’s play, each role is designed to conclude in the culmination of the Play.  No matter how many roles I take or new responsibilities come upon me, each is to fulfill the ultimate goal of life. To love God and enjoy Him forever.

...... and also we need to realise that each role we play may not be popular to the audience ... it may in fact be despised just for the fact that it is. It is not up to us to keep the people amused, or 'do' to make them love us. It is our job to make that character work for that time to the Glory of our Kinsman Redeemer.  If WE aim to make ourselves popular, then it is up to us to stay popular .... if God gives us favour then its up to Him to continue us in that way.

Great to see you posting again mate.

God bless you,

Narelle

Very well thought out. This part of the play is a bulletin sorta thing in my history class. I thought it was funny that I knew what it was. : D

Dude, I'm sorry we couldn't hang out this past weekend. I fell really bad about it. I'm hoping to make it to NYC on 9.11 this year. Unless you are coming out this way again before then that will be the tentative plan. Sound good?

Hey! It's been forever Alex! Speaking of life's journey I am continually amazed as I ponder God's care in creating the play of my life. You expressed it so fittingly and eloquently, each role of our lives is designed to bring us to the ultimate goal in life, loving God and enjoying Him every single moment.
